The Lovelace and Babbage Paper Dolls I’m Sure You Wanted

Thank you so much for all the kind words about the book! It’s good to be back! And there is as of yet no angry mob of Organist diehards gathered neath my window!

In gratitude, I know if there’s one aching need in your lives that’s unfulfilled right now, it’s..

PRINTABLE LOVELACE AND BABBAGE PAPER DOLLS!

paperdolls

I’m not 100% sure why I drew those, unless it’s to go with the Lovelace and Babbage paper theatre sets I’ve been doodling.

Beware! Even as you read this the Organist tunnels approach. You have been warn… umm, entreated? Please, …pretty please? … and with a soundtrack?

Wow, please, add some more characters with clothes and some backgrounds with places – that will make a maravellous chance to re-enact some of the episode at home! I love paper dolls! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!

Have loved paper dolls for ages. Used to get the Sugar and Spike comics and cut out the paper dolls. Got the nice versions of Hollywood legends for the second-born, who had loads of fun dressing Rudolf Valentino in his stage costumes. Have printed. Will commence cutting. And, congrats on the book!

I’ve always adored paper dolls, and I adore your Lovelace and Babbage stories. This must be some sort of state of meta-adoration that I am experiencing.

Yes, please! do sketch theater sets. As a (sadly present era) set designer I’d love to see L & B vintage theater. Er, that’s TheatRE of course.

Huge congratulations on the book… The Book!

These are fabulous! Printing out asap. Also, yes please on the paper theater and the IKB paper doll, though honesty compels me to admit that I’d probably just leave him shirtless all the time.

Ancient Greek paper theatre really picked up once they added a third character. Brunel? Once the fully operational papercraft Analytical Engine is complete, of course.

BRUNEL! Yes! I must have a Brunel paper doll!

Er, um. I mean, I will wait with unremitting patience until such time as our kind host should feel the urge to produce such a thing, if ever. Yes, that’s what I meant.

We are, in fact, in need of an engineer. Yes. Also, what Emma said. :)

I love how the first two items on la Lovelace’s clothes are a before and after version of the same blouse and vest. Before work, well turned out and elegant. After… obviously, acchievement has been unlocked. Brava!

At last! Hurrah! I’m firing up the printer and digging out the colored pencils!
