Not strictly relevantly--

OMG an omen! Last night when I got my reservations to spend a week of sort-of business in London, I knew there was some reason to take off a day earlier than reason would dictate, but I didn't know what it was. But I had Faith. Now I see that the Steampunk exhibit is open, and the museum is open Sundays 2-5 PM, so I know where I'll be on that extra day. Joy!

Has anyone come across the novel 'The Secrets of the Lazarus Club'? It's a pretty entertaining gothic-type thriller and features Ada Lovelace, Charles Babbage and Isambard Kingdom Brunel as central characters. The portrayal of Ada is particularly interesting!

OK, everyone in the world will be sending you this but I wanted to make sure you saw it. I'm writing in to support the Ada Lovelace project immediately.

Oh, and hope you will have more here soon. I miss it when there isn't a new comic for awhile. :)

You know that's got to go on a tee-shirt, right?

We used to go to an 1890s retro restaurant in Los Angeles county where they had coin-op player pianos and violins; kids' rocking chairs used to be equipped with music boxes on their rockers that would play bursts of song when the kid would rock, depressing the start button on the music box. The faster the kid rocked, the steadier the music.

So much for musical tortures. Vampire poets sound great, too.

Curse you Americans with your factual history and fictional museum displays. I can only hope that somehow a kazoo cross-bred with a piano-accordion appears somewhere in your future.

(furthermore, greatly looking forward to the next episode)

Bookmarks bookmarked!

Hm. Self-playing musical instruments and mechanical computers? Yeah, I can see that. Don't forget Ben Franklin's diabolical invention:

You go make giant monsters, which sound like the best part of the whole movie. We'll be here when you get back (RSS helps a lot). Do update us when the CD and the Broadsheet are available, though, if it's too busy.
