I’ve caught up! And you’re still drawing! How exciting!!! I’m quite charmed with the series, though I worry how I will fare once I have to adjust to the schedule to which your more seasoned readers are accustomed. I’m very much looking forward to the next installment!

  3. Let’s have you fighting the giant monster for a while. After all, there are probably much more people craving for a Narnia Sequel than for the 7th part of the Organist. Most important: children must stride first in line for the next amusing story. By the way, the movie really looks very promising, with all the touch and feel of a blockbuster.

I do think that your job and your hobby feed each other. Lots of synergy. Please let us know about the type of animations you do in this movie (obviously, without disregarding the non-disclosure demands of your employer).

The fate of Narnia sequel depends on you. Keep doing it great.

“In other news, I’ve done the calculations and there is no way this creature could actually fly, so I’m having him walk across this shot.”

I’m really puzzled by what this could be. There’s a dragon, of course, but the aerodynamic properties of dragons have not traditionally presented a barrier to flight. (One presumes magic is involved.)

Then again, both the previous movies have contained significant deviations from the books, so perhaps there’s some new non-flying beastie being added.

  5. The movie is looking brilliant, and so I’ll just need to hold fire on my Lovelace cravings.

I can confirm that the pen is, indeed, mightier than the sword (I even published an academic paper with that title…)

Gosh, Dawn Treader looks good. I might actually go and see it instead of sitting in front of this computer screen night and day. So hang in there, Sydney!

  8. I somehow had no idea you were working on Narnia… I have an even bigger crush on you now than I did before. :D

Yes… the pen is mightier than the sword… it makes a very good stabbing implement. (This gives you crimson ink as a bonus.)

RL always takes precedence. Relax when you can and post once it’s over.

  10. Thank goodness the pen is mightier than the sword, lest our valiant heroine might not survive to tell us about…that other valiant heroine and amuse us, rather than amuse, like, millions of people who probably pay a lot more than we do. Though I can’t help but suspect that it (the pen) might be pointing the wrong way for optimal power.

Again, we’ll be here when you get back. Or when you’re not really back but just looking to procrastinate. Better here, after all, than in that weird twenty-first century I’ve been hearing about. Imagine, computers that take up less than a full building and automata that are only barely and indirectly powered by steam at all!

But fix your hair before your return, or at least put on a hat. We’re indoors, y’know. (I am, at least. It’s something like a bajillion degrees outside.)

  11. Gadzooks! I hope you finally escape the fiendish clutches of the Evil Movie Monster!!

As a frequent visitor to the site, desperately seeking updates, I will temper my anticipation and let you get on with your “real” job. The movie looks smashing, and I’m sure your bits will be amazing! Hang in there!!
