Like all overly-optimistic economic forecasts, the one predicting a 100% growth in comic posting over this week turns out to need rejiggering. This is because I’m insane, and the projected growth in comic output percolating behind the scenes is around like 550%, and the good (?) news is that when part 3 of Economic Model turns up, it will have stuff like this:
I’ve now meticulously planned the whole 3-year arcing plot-line of Lovelace and Babbage, with season-ending cliffhangers and interludes of pathos, with only the inconvenience necessity delight of starting work again standing in my way. I think this is what happens when, rather than properly misspending your youth riding around on a motorcycle and breaking things, you spend it reading Asterix and X-Men comics while listening to public radio. EDITED TO ADD: Jeez, I forgot: the tshirt thing. Messed around with it– it’s harder than it looks, but I’ve made one up and ordered it.. I’ll see what the quality looks like before I’d be happy with putting my name on something I wasn’t sure was okay. I did make a mousepad, ’cause they’re cheap, and Ada in the Difference Tubes fits eerily neatly onto one.

The redbubble.com tshirts are very good quality — and you just have to post the design and they handle all the production and delivery….
… well, given that I intended to call my firstborn Ada if it was a girl, and very, very nearly called him Charles when he was born, I would say I am ON THIS COMIC like WASPS ON JAM.
(addendum of no interest: Ada would have been after Ada Lovelace, but I have to admit Charles was for Charles Darwin, Charles Dickens, Charles Babbage… and Charles Schultz. It got nixed because of Charles Philip Arthur George Windsor, the big-eared twat.)
You’re the brains and I’m the…
Brains.
Hee! Love it!
Mouse pad. Mouse pad. Mouse pad. Mouse pad! Now I’m wondering which design’ll be on the shirt (*pant!* *gasp!* *strangulate!*)
