Just got the app & The Client: brilliant work. Whoever did the UI is a pretty nice programmer.
Now get more content out there so I can continue to monetarily support this endeavour! ;)
Purchased the app – the content was nice and the linking works well, but mostly I’d like to compliment the programmer on a truly classy UI job. Well done!
Now get more issues out there so I can support you with more cash money. ;)
I had a dream last night that I travelled back in time to the Victorian Era where I met Charles Babbage. I happened to have my iPad with me, so I showed him the app. I’m happy to report that he loved it! Only now he won’t give me my iPad back. :-(
Congrats on the app. Downloaded, purchased, enjoyed, and reviewed at 5 stars. Looked up and realized it was 1am last night after I found myself reading Babbage’s autobiography…
The split-page view with the primary sources and commentary is just fantastic, and presents that in a way that is really engaging and interesting.
Excellent, excellent work. I’m looking forward to the other comics showing up.
Alas, alack aday! Now if it were available on Android I’d buy — and it’s been 40+ years since I purchased a comic…
I’m so pleased to say that The Client was my FIRST and only purchase from the App Store.
Please sir, may I have some more?
I have particularly enjoyed the superior resolution of the iPad version. I suspected that my old hand-cranked monitor was not doing justice to your opus.
Polly, Matthew, Malcolm- really sorry to hear that! Agant is on it, should be sorted soon!
E-Wit– geez no, of course I won’t stop posting here! comic’s home is here, first and foremost!
Is anyone else having a problem with The Client? I purchased it through the app, but I’m still only getting the preview. I tried purchasing it again, and got a message that I have purchased but not downloaded it. I can’t figure out how to proceed. The app crashed while I was purchasing it the first time, which could be part of the problem.
The Origin is great. I love the way the notes work.
Yes, I’m having the same issue with The Client. I purchased it through the app, read the intro then moved straight on to The Client. I read it through OK just looking at the comic, but when I returned to the start to read again in rotated view with the notes it would only let me read the preview amount. This persisted when I re-rotated to the comic view.
I’m really loving the comic though, many congratulations! Now if there was only a fix for this one bug, I’d be happier than Babbage in a city with a barrel-organ ban…
It seems there is an occasional bug in the app which causes it to crash and quit. It doesn’t happen very often and I haven’t been able to figure what triggers it yet.
But you won’t stop doing it on line, surely? Have neither iPhone nor iPad, but look constantly for your latest updates.
Will echo Zach’s comments exactly…looking forward to both an Android version and the manuscript in physical form
I have hitherto considered the iPad an unneccessary luxury. Now, however, with the advent of this most marvelous application, I must needs acquire said item at once! <> hahahaha!!
Snagged. :D Now all I need to do is get it over to the husband’s iPad.
Got the app! Thanks! Love the facsimiles of Lovelace’s notes.
Any chance of an Android version in the future? I will certainly be purchasing the print version regardless.
Most fantastic! Downloaded, purchased, and enjoyed! The attached primary documents are most diverting, though some difficulty has been encountered getting certain of them to open…
Nevertheless, I shall be recommending it to those of my acquaintances which are in possession of the necessary device!
Fantastic, I am going to get it now.
Hey folks– sorry, it’s iPad only, converting it to iPhone proved to be beyond my compositional powers! It certainly shouldn’t be UK only though, you can get it anywhere.
Thanks very much, Malcolm and Timmy!
Brian: next on my agenda!!
It is somehow quite fitting that this app is such an elegant piece of multimedia. Bravo to everyone involved. I look forward to more installments.
Will it work on an iphone??
is it UK only?
PRINT!!!!! Er, I mean congratulations!
An exciting development! Would that I could participate, being woefully iPad-less myself, but I shall heartily encourage my friends to purchase your opus and make ’em SHARE.
Congratulations! I’ll blog on this tomorrow (and 3 more people will find out).
Love your work.
Sadly, I have but an iPod, so while I was able to download this estimable application, I was unable to peruse it.
I did, however, forward the link to someone I know with an iPad, and he was glad to get it.
And I love it.
Downloaded and purchased. Good day to you madame.
